Weigh iN

Every Sunday evening is our "weigh in." Originally the plan was just to weigh ourselves to chart our progress physically. Now every Sunday night has also become out spiritual "weigh in." Our friendships have grown as we have been open with one another about our trials and feelings. Lessons: Our spiritual health is just as important as our physical health.

I personally seem to go up and down with my weight. I feel that when I become more spiritually stable I will become more physically healthy as well.

Sometimes (meaning all the time lately) I feel like my life is a complete mess and out of control. It is time to really take control and make good choices. For me this always begins with taking a spiritual inventory and make plans to make change. I know better therefore I need to do better.

2 Nephi 10:23-25
Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, reconcile yourselves to the will of God, and not to the will of the devil and the flesh; and remember, after ye are reconciled unto God, that it is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved. Wherefore, may God raise you from death by the power of the resurrection, and also from everlasting death by the power of the atonement, that ye may be received into the eternal kingdom of God, that ye may praise him through grace divine. Amen.
